Word Guess — the daily 5-letter word puzzle
Play any time+ a new puzzle every day
Word Guess gives you one secret five-letter word and six attempts to find it. Every guess is scored letter by letter: green means the letter is in the word and in the right place, amber means it is in the word somewhere else, grey means it is not in the word at all. Nine times out of ten the puzzle is won or lost on how well you spend guesses three and four.
There is a new word every day, the same word for every player, so the result is worth comparing. Miss a day and it does not disappear — the archive keeps every past puzzle, and you can go back and play any of them from the calendar.
Wins build a streak. The streak only counts the day's puzzle, played on the day, in your own timezone — an archive replay never inflates it, which is what makes the number mean something.
One a day is not the limit. Endless mode deals a fresh word whenever you want another, so the daily is the shared puzzle everyone compares — not your whole allowance.
Free on Android and iOS. Play as a guest — no account needed.
How to play Word Guess
- Type any valid five-letter word and submit it.
- Read the colours: green is the right letter in the right place, amber is the right letter in the wrong place, grey is not in the word.
- Use what the colours rule out — a guess that only tests new letters is usually worth more than one that chases a hunch.
- Solve it inside six tries to take the win and extend your streak.
- Stuck? Spend coins on a hint, or watch a rewarded ad for one.

Word Guess questions
Is Word Guess free?
Yes. Word Guess is part of MindGlyph, which is free to download and play on Android and iOS. It is supported by ads, and coins you earn by playing can be spent on hints.
Can I only play Word Guess once a day?
No. The daily word is one shared puzzle everybody gets, but Endless mode deals you a new word as often as you like, and the archive holds every past day. The once-a-day part is the comparison, not the limit.
Can I play yesterday's word?
Yes. Every past day stays in the archive and can be played from the calendar. Archive plays record the result but never change your streak, so the streak stays an honest record of days you actually showed up.
How many guesses do I get?
Six. Each guess has to be a real word from the dictionary, which the app checks offline so there is no waiting.
Do I need an account?
No. You can play as a guest straight away. Signing in with Google or Apple is optional and exists so your streak, coins and achievements follow you to a new device.
